People who wish to support the work of Imc-Japan should do the following:
(1) Join the above list.
(2) Follow the procedure outlined below for each sub-group.

Imc-Japan decisions are made collectively, by consensus.

Imc-japan-multi -- all things multimedia, in concert with tech This list is for members of the imc-japan collective's multimedia sub-group. Please visit the imc-japan main list and join, if you haven't already (above). Then (1) introduce yourself and (2) explain which subgroup(s) you would like to assist. Sub-group members will help you decide which sub-group(s) to join.  The list administrator will add you to the list shortly thereafter.  All non day-to-day matters are decided in the "decide" sub-group.


Imc-japan-tech -- keeping imc-japan online This list is for members of the imc-japan collective's technical sub-group.  Procedure for joining the same as for the multimedia sub-group.


Imc-japan-graphic -- all things graphic in concert with tech and edit This list is for members of the imc-japan collective's graphic sub-group.  Procedure for joining the same as for the multimedia sub-group.


Imc-japan-account -- for maintaining imc-japan's finances This list is for members of the imc-japan collective's accounting sub-group.  Procedure for joining the same as for the multimedia sub-group.


Imc-japan-translation -- to work on bilingual aspects of imc-japan
in concert with tech and edit
This list is for members of the imc-japan collective's translation sub-group.  Procedure for joining the same as for the multimedia sub-group.


Imc-japan-mission -- for working on the imc-japan mission statement This list is for members of the imc-japan collective's mission sub-group.  Procedure for joining the same as for the multimedia sub-group.


Imc-japan-edit -- for the imc-japan editorial group This list is for members of the imc-japan collective's editorial sub-group. This group is concerned with articles, features, razorwires and links. Procedure for joining the same as for the multimedia sub-group.


Imc-japan-outreach -- for informing and involving others in imc-japan This list is for members of the imc-japan collective's outreach sub-group.  Procedure for joining the same as for the multimedia sub-group.


Imc-japan-decide -- list for imc-japan decisions This list is for members of all imc-japan collective sub-groups.  Members of subgroups will automatically be made members of this group.

How to add to the calendar

send an article

Please note that you can add an event to the calendar by going here:

Click on ADD EVENT and then fill in the type of event (category, date, time, a title, the sponsporing group, a description,
the location, any fees, directions (transportation), an email address or phone # of someone who has more information, and
a website, if one exists. You can also quickly specify if and when the same event is repeated.

It will be approved by an editor to avoid spam as soon as possible afterward being uploaded.

IF THIS IS ABOUT JAPAN, CHECK!!!

3) CATEGORY

4) LANGUAGE

5) Your name or alias

6) Your email address

7) Also:

--Check "Validate email" if possible. You will get a confirmation message to
that address to help insure that the person claiming to be you really IS
you.

You do not have to add contact phone or address, but you should make a
short title.


Choose TEXT unless you know html or have access to a WYSIWYG html program
from which you can create html text and then paste in the code.

Write a short summary (text only)

If you are uploading any graphics, choose
-PLACE UPLOADED FILES AFTER THE SUMMARY or
-I WILL USE PLACEHOLDERS FOR THE FILES

If you choose the second option, you will need to add
1file_x1
2file_x2
etc.


Add the text (or html code if you chose this option). Remember that if you
chose placeholders, you muse specify where in the text the pictures will
appear.

Use the menu below the BODY to uplpad up to 3 pictures. They should be
less than 400k. if you do not know howto check this, please ask a computer
saavy person to help.

If you have a website that is related to your post, you can add it (up to
two) below this.

If you want to be able to edit your article, choose a username and
password.
